Well, this is my very first attempt at a blog (with massive assistance from wonderful Debs). I thought I’d tell you a bit about what I’m up to. . .and my plans for the next month as well.
I’m currently working on stock for Anderida Fest 2015, which is taking place on the 31st of January in Southwick, Sussex. I’m putting together a few Imbolc themed pieces, Goddess plaques, pendants, and a new line in brooches too. I’m also doing some of my usual bright and colourful rainbow bits and bobs as well. I’ll have icons, hair sticks and maybe even some hand made wooden beads. If you’re in the area do pop along and say hello, there are some fab speakers lined up, and music in the evening from Carolyn Hillyer and Nigel Shaw too.
I’m also in the process of turning my five new paintings into cards and prints. I’m looking forward to checking proofs very soon, so keep an eye on my Facebook page and website for availability.
No rest for the wicked – I’m off to the Enchanted Market in Bracknell on 7th and 8th February, which promises to be a fun weekend, with stalls, speakers and music. I’ll be testing out my digitally enhanced hearing that weekend too, should be interesting! I’ll either be shouting at everyone or whispering. . .or just looking dazed and confused (I can hear those that know me muttering “no change there then” to that last comment – thanks guys).
Apart from making things for events, I’ve got several new paintings on the way, as well as some different craft items which should be popping up in the next few weeks. Hopefully I might find time to sort my messy garden out in between as well! The buds are already appearing, and my bulbs are all popping up too. . .not long before the greening comes I think. My bees are pretty quiet right now, all huddled up in the hive, although I have seen one or two flying on sunnier days. Hopefully by next month I’ll have more bee news to share. . .plus some possible news about a couple of other critters too. . .fingers crossed!
Well, I think that’s everything for now so I’ll wish you all a bright and blessed Imbolc.
Love and blessings
